The B.D. Jenkins Cardinal "Marlin" is a boutique semi-hollow electric guitar designed for players who want the resonance of a chambered build without sacrificing power and sustain. Its neck-through construction pairs a 5-piece mahogany, purpleheart, and flamed maple neck with a solid black walnut body and ambrosia maple top for a distinctive look and a solid, responsive feel.
Loaded with a Seymour Duncan JB neck humbucker and Seymour Duncan Distortion Mayhem bridge humbucker, the Marlin delivers everything from rich rhythm tones to aggressive lead sounds. The Les Paul-style control layout provides independent volume and tone controls for each pickup along with a 3-way selector switch, giving players plenty of tonal flexibility on stage or in the studio.
Finishing touches include a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, custom marlin duck and "J" mother-of-pearl inlays, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a semi-hollow single f-hole design that adds character, resonance, and visual appeal.
