Built one at a time in Central Pennsylvania, B.D. Jenkins Custom Instruments are handcrafted by luthier Brian Jenkins and personally signed upon completion. Every instrument is uniquely constructed, ensuring no two guitars are exactly alike.
The Martian Telecaster reimagines the classic T-style platform through exceptional custom craftsmanship and premium tonewoods. Its semi-hollow design pairs a solid sapele body with a bookmatched cherry top and matching headstock veneer, while a single f-hole adds resonance and visual character. A striking seven-piece neck-through construction of flamed maple, padauk, and sapele provides outstanding sustain, stability, and articulation. Finished in natural satin, the Martian showcases the beauty of the wood itself rather than hiding it beneath heavy finishes.
Designed for players who need versatility without sacrificing personality, the Martian features a pair of reproduction Hot Rod humbuckers wired to independent push-pull coil splits, allowing everything from full-bodied humbucker tones to brighter single-coil-inspired sounds. The hand-wired electronics are fully copper-shielded for quiet operation and paired with a Wilkinson three-saddle bridge for classic feel and reliable performance. Its comfortable oval neck profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius, 42.5mm unbleached bone nut, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays, and 25.5" scale length deliver a familiar playing experience enhanced by boutique-level craftsmanship. Includes a soft case.
