The DOD Carcosa Fuzz is a versatile, silicon-based analog fuzz pedal inspired by 1970s-era fuzz units like the Maestro FZ-1S. It ranges from warm, dynamic overdrive-style textures to gated, splattery, and broken-speaker chaos.
Key Features:
Before Control (Gain): Acts as the primary fuzz/drive amount. Lower settings yield a touch-sensitive, woody overdrive that cleans up nicely from your guitar's volume knob, while higher settings pack a massive wall of sound.
After Control (Bias): A wide-ranging bias knob that alters the internal voltage texture. Counter-clockwise gives a fuller, louder sound, while turning it clockwise produces gated, spitting, horn-like synth tones and compressed sustain.
Demhe / Hali Toggle Switch:
Demhe (Up position): Boosts bass and low-mid frequencies, making it ideal for clean-channel amp platforms.
Hali (Down position): Cuts bass and tightens the low end, which helps shred through dirty or overdriven amp channels for stoner rock and doom metal.
Hi-Cut Control: A high-frequency filter that tames treble. Turn it counter-clockwise for brighter single-coil pickups or clockwise to warm up dark humbuckers.
Output Volume: Delivers plenty of unity-gain and boost headroom to push a tube amp.
